Biography
Ashutosh Kshirsagar is a PhD student in the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University, based in Boston. He is advised by Michael Ann DeVito and Ada Lerner.
Kshirsagar joined Khoury College as a master’s student in 2021 and worked as a research assistant developing a tool to measure public network internet performance at anchor institutes before beginning his PhD program in 2024. He believes technical advancements should help everyone and is passionate about involving marginalized communities — queer and trans communities in particular — in designing the technologies that will impact them. Kshirsagar takes a qualitative approach to his work and enjoys talking to different people and understanding how their narratives can shape future technologies.
In his free time, Kshirsagar loves to cook and go to the gym.
